Mary P Spellings
A West Tennessee native, Mary Spellings received her BA in art from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. In her 30 plus years of painting, Mary has done many commissioned works for people all over the United States. She has done wall murals for the Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction and large wall-sized canvases for several businesses and churches(Even one in Salvador, Brazil, in South America). Around the area she is known for limited0edition prints of local landmarks. Mary enjoys painting a wide variety of subjects. Her favorite mediums are watercolor and pastel. Mary lives in the small country town of Mercer and enjoys animals and nature. She is a member of the Jackson Art Association, the Memphis Germantown Art League, and the Kentucky Watercolor Society and is a signature member of the Tennessee Watercolor Society.
Mary has had solo shows in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky. Her most recent solo show was July 4 at Historic Monthaven in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
